danang.community is a community directory and events platform for Da Nang, Vietnam. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google's OAuth service — we don't get your Google password or access your Google data beyond basic profile info.

If you apply to list a community, we collect the details you provide in the application form: community name, description, contact information, social media links, and category preferences.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address.

We track basic login activity (last sign-in date) to calculate login streaks for the juice economy and to identify inactive accounts.

What we don't collect

We don't collect payment card numbers or financial account details. Juice purchases are handled through direct bank transfer, MoMo, or ZaloPay — we only store a reference code and confirmation status on our end.

We don't use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie for keeping you signed in.

How we use your information

Your account information is used to operate the platform — signing you in, displaying your community profile, and managing the juice economy. Newsletter subscriber emails are used to send the weekly digest.

We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

The platform relies on Neon (database hosting), Cloudflare (site hosting, CDN, image storage), Google (OAuth sign-in), and Resend (email delivery). Each has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Data retention

Your account exists until you ask us to remove it. Community profiles inactive for three months are automatically archived (hidden from the directory) but not deleted. Archived communities are restored if the admin signs back in.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any digest email. If you have questions or requests, contact donald@danang.community.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll note it on the site.
