Moving quickly is essential for startups, but decisions made during an MVP can become expensive technical, data and compliance problems once a product launches, gains customers or seeks investment.
This practical, founder-friendly workshop is about how to build and ship quickly without leaving behind a future compliance time bomb. It’s designed for founders, developers, product people, and anyone building an AI-enabled or data driven business, particularly products serving customers or partners in the EU. No previous knowledge of EU regulation is required.
Using a guided worksheet, you’ll map the data entering your product, where it goes, which external services receive it and who can access it. You’ll then use a five part framework - covering data, access, dependencies, decisions and evidence - to identify gaps and potential risks.
Finally, you’ll choose the three risks that matter most and turn them into realistic next actions. The session will finish with a constructive group discussion and Q&A, where volunteers can share a product or challenge.
You’ll leave with:
- A clearer picture of how data moves through your product
- A practical framework for identifying hidden risks
- A product risk map tailored to your own project
- A three action plan you can continue using afterwards
- A better understanding of what needs attention now, and what can reasonably wait
The workshop is hosted by Brían, an engineer and technical consultant with more than 11 years of experience building software within regulated industries.
This session provides general educational and engineering guidance, not legal advice.
